The August schedules are up and I should be able to stay current now.
I had to bite the bullet and learn some different html and ftp software, for my new PC. I've ended up with 2 new programs to do the same work as CuteFTP Pro, but they are free... 1st Page 2000 & SmartFTP.
The Beale Street Labor Day Weekend Event has an Island Theme and Tropix is a local band in keeping with the theme. They do island and reggae type music. Couldn't find a site on them, but I hear they are quite good. Dingo Fest V appears to be the main event on Beale that weekend, but I'm not sure if Rum Boogie and Tropix are participating.

The May entertainment schedules are up. I added a couple of new links.
The Beale Street Music Festival starts tomorrow. I'll be in Blues Hall and quite likely one of our other clubs... besides Rum Boogie Cafe and Mr. Handy's Blues Hall, the "our" includes The Pig on Beale, Beale Street Tap Room, and King's Palace Cafe. There will be live entertainment in all of these venues during the festival. I should get Carson to give me schedules for the rest of these places that he oversees the entertainment for. He's had a great Elvis Impersonator in The Pig for sometime now. I will work on getting more info. Have a great May in Memphis! ;)

Tuesday, April 1, 2003~
Tired and rushed, but got the April schedules coded. The weather has been awesome and business good. Cabin fever gets folks down our way this time of year. The Billy Gibson Band is a must see. I promise you won't be disappointed.
The Beale Street Music Festival is May 2 - 4. Of course that link is all about what's going on down on the river. I'll see you when you make your way to our part of Beale Street.
Also, I got an email about this Ponderosa Stomp 2003 going on in New Orleans April 29, 30 & May 1. Looks interesting and thought someone might be on a musical sojurn, having the time to do both festivals.

Monday, January 27, 2003 ~
Got the February schedules up. The links are at the bottom of the January schedules. Also added some of the band's links.
Looks like the former Blues Challenge is now called Blues First Festival. It really livens things up with lots of great music.
Kirk was in rare form last night! While most were glued to the Super Bowl, he got into a nice mellow jam of whatever seemed to strike him. The last two sets he was psyched for rocking out. It was just one of those knocked out by Kirk Smithhart Band nights! You know they are doing something RIGHT when you look around and even all the staff has stopped to watch. ;)

Giving the schedules another go. Decided to do away with the featured CD thing. Gotta run to another New Years Eve on Beale Street. Happy New Years! :)

Wednesday, June 12, 2002 ~
I forgot to mention a couple things... James Govan & the Boogie Blues Band are still the house band and are currently appearing Wednesday thru Saturday ;)
Also, fortunecity.com have quit letting us link to our wave files on these free sites. Not sure what I'm gonna do, yet. Maybe try imbedding the sound clips on the page. I'll just have to see how that works out. Most of these CDs on my site can be sampled on the respective band's own site. When I started doing this very few of the bands had their own sites! And... it's not like I update this site a lot anymore, anyway! hehe

Sunday, June 9, 2002 ~
Updated the links page, adding Gamble Brothers Band and Turbo 350.
Gamble Brothers Band are swapping out the Sunday thru Tuesday slots in Rum Boogie with The Memphians. GBB with their unique style of funky fusion blues. The Memphians deliver all Memphis Music, complete with a wealth of trivia and real life ancedotes.
Kirk Smithhart Band still present and accounted for. Kirk & Zack are doing the Duo thang every other Fri & Sat and the KSB has Sunday the 31st/Monday July 1st. KSB has a great new CD, too.
Turbo 350 are serving up some high energy rockabilly every Sarurday and Sunday in Blues Hall... which has returned to its real jukejoint status :)
Matt Tudor will be solo in Rum Boogie the 14th, 15th & 29th!
WELCOME HOME MATT!
